Third City Community Clinic accepts donations of the following items:
Hygiene:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Body Wash
Deodorant
Feminine Hygiene Products (pads, tampons, etc.)
Individually wrapped combs, brushes, razors, etc.
Food:
Canned items (vegetables, fruit, soup, tuna, etc.)
Boxed items
Bread and other baked items
Produce
Rice, noodles, lentils, etc.
Tortillas
Fruit and vegetable juices
Dry milk
Baby food
Baby formula
**At this time, we do not have the capacity to accept items that need to be refrigerated or frozen.
Prescriptions & other medications:
Prescription medications that are both sealed and not expired
Over the counter medications that are both sealed and not expired
Insulin that is sealed, not expired, and has been kept refrigerated
Medical Supplies:
Nebulizers & unopened tubing
Braces (hand, wrist, ankle, etc.)
Diabetic needles
Glucose monitors
Test Strips
Bandages
Adult diapers
Alcohol wipes
**At this time we do not take CPAP machines, Oxygen tanks & tubing, Catheter supplies, IV supplies & medications
Other:
Baby diapers
Baby wipes
New hats & gloves for both kids & adults
Volunteer Opportunities:
Board Member – (I put an item into Dropbox called ‘New Board Member Information’) Maybe there could be a contact form for people interested in becoming a board member. You can use any of the verbiage in the ‘New Board Member Information’ document that you need to in order to create this. This contact form once submitted can go to me at medical@thirdcityclinic.com
Volunteer Provider – This is for people who are MDs, PAs, APRNs or specialist who wish to volunteer for the clinic. This could also be a contact form where they state what type of provider they are and a spot for them to type a message to us. In order to be a provider, they will just be asked to volunteer one time per month for 2-3 hours, wherein we will book them back to back in 15 minute increments. Volunteer Dentist – This is for people who are DDS’s only. This one won’t need to come into the clinic, but would be a dental provider whom we can call and make referrals to for things like fillings & extractions. Volunteer Nurses – Third City Community Clinic has a longstanding history of utilizing retired nurses who are wanting to maintain their nursing licenses through the State of Nebraska. We utilize volunteer nurses during all medical clinics throughout the month. These nurses rotate through each month based on their individual availability. Make a monetary gift to the clinic. I’m trying to get into our PayPal account so that I can get you that information so that there can be a donate link for people to make these contributions. I’m not sure if there may also be a way through PayPal where people can choose to do a one-time gift or a recurring monthly one.
Donate to our yearly giving request through our holiday letter. (maybe for this one there could be a way for people to put there address in so that we can add them to the list of people that we send these too.
We also take part in Go Big Give through the Heartland United Way the 1st week of May each year.
All donations stay local and help us to provide even more vital services to individuals in need in Grand Island and surrounding communities.
