Executive Director

Misty Schaecher is the Executive Director of Third City Community Clinic, a position she has held for the past two years. In addition to this role, she currently serves as the Executive Director for the Grand Island Area Farmers Market and is the Owner and CEO of Lily Rose Fresh Cut Flowers, a business she founded in 2020. 

Misty’s educational background includes an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Central Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University, and a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Non-Profit Management from Doane University. 

Her career in non-profits began in 1998 as a paralegal for Western Nebraska Legal Services (now Nebraska Legal Aid). Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in advocacy, child protection, and community health, serving in roles such as Lead Forensic Interviewer at Central Nebraska Child Advocacy Center, Outreach Coordinator at Choice Family Healthcare, and Case Manager Supervisor at Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership. 

In 2025, Misty was awarded the Inspire Award for Small-Business for her leadership at Third City Community Clinic, her ownership of her personal business, Lily Rose Fresh Cut Flowers, and, for creating and managing the Grand Island Area Farmers Market.  

Misty is a Certified Forensic Interviewer of Children and a FEMA-certified Public Information Officer. Her diverse background and unwavering commitment to serving vulnerable populations reflect her dedication to community well-being and organizational leadership.
